Adding to my booklist...

In addition to what I posted earlier, here are a couple other books I plan on reading. I figured that the original list was far enough down on the page that I could just continue up here, if that makes sense. So here we go:

13: Peter Pan Sir James Barrie

14: Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte (I actually started reading this at one point, but I had to return it to the library ): )

15: Don Quixote The authors name I forget at the moment...

16: Crime & Punishment Another forgotten author's name

17: The Shack What is it with me and forgetting the names of all these authors?!

18: My Antonia Willa Cather (YES!!! I remembered an author's name!!)

19: SHERLOCK HOLMES!!!!! Sir Conan Doyle I've finished "The Hound of the Baskervilles," and I plan on reading several more in the near future.

20: I started "Gone With the Wind," but it was super intimidating so I only read like five pages. I think I'll try it again later, but uh, it's not looking too hopeful...

Yeah, and that's about it for now. If you have any suggestions, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeee, I'm begging you, let me know!!! Thank you!

A Word on Words

Those of you who know me personally may have noticed that me vocabulary is not limited to the English language, or even any written language. I use "my words" (Words that I've simply made up, or interesting phrases that I've heard elsewhere) all the time. I'll also use actually words that you can find in the English dictionary, but that no one seems to know. To name but a few, there are:

-Awesomeness
-Awesomerest
-Ridiculousness (I use that one a whole darned lot)
-Skadoosh
-Flubberbuckets (A term I commonly use when referring to the makers of the "Eragon" film. What were they THINKING?!?!)
-Dandiful (Meaning "full of dandyness- I use it quite a bit)

Actual words that can be found in the dictionary (again, here's just a sampling):
-Collywobbles (Means, can you guess, a stomach ache!!! It's hilarious to see peoples faces when you go up to them and say something to the effect of:" I've got the collywobbles")
-Collimate (To make parallel- I don't use this one so much since there really aren't a lot of opportunities to employ it)
- Shillyshally (An extremely indecisive person-- so me!! My friends and I use this one quite a bit...)
-Fard (Ha HA!!! This is a favorite of my family!!!! Can you guess what it means?? I'll put the answer on the comment board!)
-Dandy. I really don't know how I got started on this one, but I use it on a daily basis
Phrases...

-Grand idear. Man, I mean the looks people give you when you say this!! "Did you just say "idear?" "Yes, i-d-e-a-r, ideeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaarr."
-For the love of cheese pizza!! 'Nuff said.
-Oh my crunchy goodness!!
Aaaannnddd.... I know there's a bunch of other ones, but I can't think of them at the moment.

Oh, here's two other real words: Fantstical & fantasticalnes. I have used these quite often, thinking they were "my words". I put them on an email or something awhile ago, and then spell checked it, thinking that they would be highlighted as an improper word, but they weren't!! So I looked it up in the dictionary, and sure darned enough, there they were!! "Fantastical" & "fantasticalness". Quite the interestingness.

Oh, and just so that we're all aware, "skadoosh" and "awesomeness" were my words long before Kung Fu Panda ever came out!!!! Actually, I haven't seen Kung Fu Panda, but I had been using those words around some one who had seen it, and they said something to the effect of, "Hey, did you pick that up from Kung Fu Panda?" "NO!!!!!" "Oh...well they use those words in them..." Sheesh people!!! What in the heck is up with this?!?! I've got to start copyrighting these or something...

First Freeze of the Year!!

Hello everyone!! It FROZE here the other night; I was sooo excited about it!! And I got some lovely pictures of the ice and such (yeah, I know, I'm a bit of a dork). This may not seem like such a big deal to some, but I was quite pleased that everything looked so lovely. =) Anyway, here they are; enjoy!

The ice hanging off the ladder on the swing set...
^I'm not quite sure what this is; some plant in the backyard, but I liked it. :)

The ground had this cool pattern all over it.

And *cough* the sticks.
I've got to go now, but... yeah, I like winter!! Cheerios!!

Is there something wrong with this??

So, this is a little random, but my little brother just beat me in basketball. Big time. In around the world, H-O-R-S-E, & C-A-T. I beat him in one-on-one only because I'm taller. Anyway, is there something wrong about that?! I believe that I am the only non-athletic member of my family... quite the unfairness. =P

Random quote of the day...

Sorry for the randomness of this! But I'm trying not to go a week without posting. Wait, that's not proper english; double negative. How would I phrase that? How about: "I'm trying to post every week"? That sounds good. Anyway, I've recently been introduced to the "Wicked" soundtrack!! For those who don't know, "Wicked" is a new musical, set in Oz before Dorothy came. I'm actually not sure what the plot is, but I know that it's about Glinda and Elphaba (Later known as "the Wicked Witch of the West). I also know that the music is amazing. So now I'm always singing "Popular" and "Defying Gravity" at the top of my lungs, which I'm sure my family just loves!!! ;) I'll try and post something with a purpose soon, I promise! And til then,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

"So if you care to find me, look to the western sky! As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly! And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free! To those who ground me, take a message back from me: Tell them how I am defying gravity! I'm flying high; defying gravity! And soon I'll match them in renown! And nobody, in all of Oz, no wizard that there is or was, is ever gonna bring me down!" ~ Defying Gravity - Wicked, the musical.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

"But the fire is so delightful...
Since we've no place to go;
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!"

Indeed, the weather here is quite odd. Frightful, as I said; so it was dog-gone near 70 degrees yesterday, and today, it is a mere 17!!! Is this not ridiculous?!?! I mean, I wouldn't mind so much if it would at least snow, but it's not even that!! It is just bitter cold. Maybe on Christmas... I'm dreaming of a white Christmas... with every Christmas card I write... *cough* Anyway, I need to get a life; I'm blogging about the weather!!! Sheesh. I'm sorry, I'm probably boring you to death. I'll try to post something worth reading soon. ;)
